Local Transportation

  • Walking: Lower Village is very walkable – restaurants and shops within easy walking distance from all properties.
  • Biking: Bike rentals available locally, great for recreation path and village exploration.
  • Driving: Necessary for mountain resort access, some attractions, and grocery shopping.
  • Shuttle Services: Seasonal shuttle services available to mountain resort during ski season.
  • Taxis & Ride Shares: There is not an abundance of taxis, and while Uber and Lyft exist, they are often difficult to obtain in Stowe due to limited drivers. We recommend planning ahead — our favorite option is Neil’s Wheels.

  • Peak Foliage (Late September – Early October): Most popular and crowded time with spectacular colors
  • Ski Season (December – March): Winter sports prime time with world-class conditions

Weather Considerations

Vermont weather can change quickly, especially in mountains. Always check current conditions and pack layers. Sudden rain showers are common in summer, and winter conditions can vary dramatically by elevation and time of day
