Our Story
We believe the best vacations happen when you feel at home—welcomed, comfortable, and surrounded by thoughtful details. That’s why we’ve carefully restored four historic properties from the 1840s, preserving their timeless charm while adding the modern comforts today’s travelers expect. When you stay with us, we want it to feel like your very own home away from home.
Stowe, Vermont represents everything we love about New England - authentic character, natural beauty, and a welcoming community that celebrates both tradition and adventure. Our properties are located in Lower Village, the historic heart of Stowe, where you can walk to local restaurants, browse unique shops, and experience the genuine charm that makes this mountain town so special.
The 1840s South Main Street Collection
Three of our properties - Stowey Deer Retreat, Stowey Bear Farmhouse, and James' Place - are housed in beautifully restored 1840s buildings at 722 South Main Street. These historic structures have been carefully renovated to preserve their original character while incorporating modern amenities for comfortable stays.
The Downtown Carriage House
Our Stowey Owl Studio occupies a charming 1840s carriage house at 4 Sunset Street, right in downtown Stowe. This unique property offers an authentic glimpse into Vermont's past while providing contemporary comfort in the heart of the village.
